Our 1 day emergency first aid at work (EFAW) course will also teach staff how to deal with a variety of work-related first aid scenarios, as well as CPR & AED’s. During the emergency first aid training day, they will learn how to treat:
- MINOR CUTS, GRAZES, SPLINTERS, AND BURNS
- CHOKING
- WOUNDS AND BLEEDING
- SHOCK
- STROKES
- HEART ATTACKS AND ANGINA
- ASTHMA
- DIABETES
- FRACTURES
- UNCONSCIOUS COLLEAGUES
- ANAPHYLACTIC SHOCK
EFAW exams and assessment
You’ll be assessed throughout your course and successful students will be awarded a FAIB certificate shortly after completing your efaw course.
Do my employees need this course?
You would decide this during your first aid needs assessment. Generally speaking, you should have at least one trained first aider, although, depending on shifts & holidays you may need more than one qualified member of staff.
